A Break In TIME - Ft Daily Charme

I had many names for this particular idea.. I don't see just a clock, I see 'Time' in all its meaning. 

This could be any theme you like.

It's Getting Cold.. Frost Nails + Born Pretty Store

I did not come up with a name for this manicure, until I was editing the pictures..
That random silver sponging actually looks like frost.
And that dark base makes it look even colder. 
So "Frosted Nails".. 




No pense en un nombre para este mani, hasta que estaba editando las fotos..
Ese plateado esponjado luce igual que la escarcha. Como si apenas se estuviese formando.
Y ese color oscuro de base lo hace ver mas frio todavia.
Asi que "Uñas Escarcha de Hielo"

The base color I used for this mani is "Let's Groove" by China Glaze.
Is a deep purple shade with blue and pink shimmer on it. This one has a slight shifting color. It is very hard to capture.
It covers in just 2 thin coats.




El color base que use para este mani es "Let's Groove" de China Glaze.
Es un esmalte purpura oscuro con escarcha en color rosa y azul. Este tiene un sutil y ligero cambio de color pero es muy dificil de capturar.
Cubre con tan solo 2 capas ligeras.

On my thumb and pinkie, because you all might know by now that I can't stand my nails all 5 painted with the same color, I used "Baby Please Come Home" by OPI.
Is a grayish purple textured polish with tiny hexa silver glitter that dries matte. 
These polishes have a reflective glints of light.
Might cover in one thick coat.. But I did 2 thin layers.




En mi pulgar y meñique, porque como todos ya saben que no puedo aguantar todas las 5 uñas pintadas del mismo color, use "Baby Please Come Home" de OPI.
Es un esmalte morado grisáceo texturado con pequeñas escarcha en forma de hexagono en color plateado, tiene un acabado mate.
Estos esmaltes tienen destellos que reflejan la luz.
Puede cubrir en una capa gruesa.. Pero yo use 2 capas ligeras.

For the random sponging or "frost" I used "Silver Sweep" by Sally Hansen and a make up sponge.. To make that particular effect, I ripped a corner of the sponge instead of cutting it.
That way the sponge will have an irregular surface.. 
I put a drop of the polish on a piece of paper, dipped the sponge in that little drop, removed the excess in a paper and then slightly dabbed over the nail.



Para la 'escarcha de hielo' use "Silver Sweep" de Sally Hansen y una esponja de maquillaje.. Para hacer este efecto en particular, arranque una esquina de la esponja en lugar de cortarla con una tijera. De ese modo la esponja tendra una superficie irregular.
Puse una gota del esmalte en un pedazo de papel, sumergi la esponja en esa gota, quite el exceso en un papel y ligeramente di pequeños toques sobre la uña.

That cute little charm is from Born Pretty Store 
When I saw this on the website it looked a little bit bigger in the picture and the shifting color stronger.
It is a cubic rhinestone with 2 clear one white pearl on the side. 
The cube as seen from the side (pic #1 and #3) shows its color clear.
But when it is seen from the top (pic #2) shows the colors blue, green, orange, yellow and pink as I start to move the rhinestone. 
It has a metallic curved back to fit the surface of the nail.

Ese lindo adorno es de Born Pretty Store 
Cuando lo vi en la pagina se veia un poco mas grande en la foto y su color un poco mas intenso.
Tiene una piedra en forma de cubo con 2 transparentes y una perlita al lado.
El cubo visto desde los lados (foto #1 y #3) se ve transparente.
Pero cuando se ve desde arriba (foto #2) se muestran los colores azul, verde, naranja, amarillo y rosado mientras voy moviendo el adorno.
Tiene su parte trasera metalica y curva para ajustarse a la superfice de la uña.

From all the christmas charms i got from Daily Charme I thought that this was the one I was not going to use haha.. I did not have any idea for this one, but then i got inspired by the colors it has so I gave a try.
And I think it looks very cute.

This one, this one is perfect for me.. 
I loved how it turned out.
This makes me happy after a few fails..

The base color I used is "Twilight" by L.A. Colors Cosmetics.
Is a dark greyish blue shade with blue shimmer.
I love this color, and just because a nail polish is cheap means its bad, not all the time. This one is really awesome and has a great formula.
Covers in 2 thin coats, it's smooth and super easy to work with, blends perfectly and dries fast.

For some people cheap polishes don't last, but nail polish is meant to stick to the basecoat and not to the bare nail.. And to make it last longer it all depends on a good quality topcoat.. 





Mi color base es "Twilight" de L.A. Colors Cosmetics.
Es un esmalte azul oscuro con un tono grisáceo con escarcha azul.
Me encanta este color, y solo porque un esmalte sea barato no quiere decir que sea malo, no todo el tiempo.
Este es muy bueno si formula esta muy bien.
Cubre con 2 capitas, es suave y facil de trabajarlo, se mezcla a la perfeccion y se seca muy rapido.

Para algunas personas los esmaltes baratos no duran, pero el esmalte esta hecho para que se adhiera a la base y no a la uña desnuda.. Y para que dure mas tiempo todo depende de un buen topcoat.

For the glitter gradient I used this glitter called "Disco D'Ouro" by Risque 'Color Effect'
This is a brazilian brand in case you don't know xD..
It is a holographic glitter with small and medium hexa glitter in a clear base. 
This one does not pick as much glitter in the brush, you can even count them, but the color is really gorgeous and its holo effect is really strong. 
I made the gradient with a make up sponge to maximize glitter. 




Para el degrade use este esmalte llamado "Disco D'Ouro" de Risque 'Color Effect'
Esta es una marca brasilera para los que no sepan xD..
Es un esmalte escarchado holografico con escarcha pequeña y mediana en forma de hexagono en una base transparente.
Este no agarra tanta escarcha en la brocha, hasta se pueden contar, pero su color es muy lindo y su efecto holografico es muy intenso.
Hice el degrade con una esponja de maquillaje para maximizar la escarcha.

On my accent nail i did a 'V' shape french manicure. I did not use any guide for it, just the brush of the 'twilight' polish. Pretty good =D 
I added glitter on the 'V' line with a thin art brush and you can see that it does not pick up too much glitter.
My gorgeous and soooo pretty snow flake charm is from Daily Charme 
I just added my topcoat and place the charm..
If you want it to last longer I recoment using a nail glue.

I did a silver version recently but I couldn't resist of using this one too..




En mi una de acento hice una forma en 'V'. No use ninguna guia para este, solo la brocha del esmalte. Muy bien =D 
A la linea de la 'V' agregue escarcha con un pincel delgado y como pueden ver que no recoje casi nada de escarcha.
Mi precioso y suuuuper lindo adorno de copo de nieve es de Daily Charme 
Solo puse mi capa de topcoat y coloque el adorno..
Si quieres que dure mas tiempo recomiendo usar pegamento para uña.

Hice una version en plateado recientemente pero no me resistí en usar este tambien..

Am I being Tough To Myself?

Why I can be so tough to myself sometimes?..
This is the way I show my feelings... I put my heart in each design I create..
Which means, when I am angry, mad, sad, depressed then definitely my designs will be bad. And same, if a design did not turn as I expect then I will be in a very bad mood and one thing leads to the other... 
When I don't like my own design is because it does not represent me at all..

And what makes me angry is that I know I can do much better, I expect too much from myself and I don't like to disappoint anyone.. 

What makes me a little sad is the inactivity I have on my feed lately..
Why?
Because it makes me think that i am doing something wrong..
I like to inspire others too, but if they don't see what I post then who will I inspire then??
When I do designs for a festivity I don't celebrate, I do it for them, my followers, giving ideas to encourage them to try something new.. when I post a tutorial is to teach them how to do it.. 
And nothing makes me happier than see them recreating at least one of my designs..
That definitely makes my day and put a smile on my face.

This same goes when i feel happy, all my designs turn out perfectly (at least for me) and it leads me to do more awesome nail art.. 



Por que a veces puedo ser tan dura conmigo misma?
Esta es la forma en la que yo expreso mis sentimientos.. Yo pongo mi corazon en cada diseño que creo..
Lo que significa si estoy enojada, triste, deprimida entonces mis diseños saldran mal.
Al igual que cuando un diseño no sale como yo lo esperaba eso me pone de muy mal humor, y una cosa lleva a la otra.. 
Cuando a mi no me gusta algunos de mis diseños es porque este no me representa. 

Lo que me hace enojar es que yo se que puedo hacerlo mejor, espero demasiado de mi misma y no me gusta decepcionar a nadie..

Lo que me pone un poco triste tambien es la inactividad ultimamente.
Por que?
Me hace sentir que estoy haciendo algo mal..
Me gusta inspirar a otros, pero si ellos no ven lo que publico entonces a quien voy a inspirar?
Cuando hago algun diseño de una festividad que yo no celebro, lo hago por ellos, mis seguidores, dandole ideas para alentarlos a que hagan algo nuevo.. Cuando pongo un tutorial es para enseñarles como hacerlo.
Y nada me hace mas feliz que ver diseños recreados, aunque sea uno de ellos..
Eso definitivamente me alegra el dia y pone una sonrisa en mi rostro.

Esto tambien va para cuando me siento feliz, todo lo que hago sale perfecto (bueno por lo menos para mi) y eso lleva a que siga haciendo diseños asombrosos.

Taking a break of 'xmas ideas'..

I was waiting so long to do these nails.. I just did not want to make the classic red/orange fire, but I wanted to do a colored one. And I confess that I tried it once on one nail, but never finished it, so I decided to do it today.

The base color I used, which is so convenient for this design, is "All I Want For Christmas (is opi)" by OPI. 
Is a creamy dark red.
If you are wondering why my pictures show different colors it is because of the lightning. 

The picture on top (#1) shows how I usually take my pictures, makes the polish look a little bit lighter than it is.

The picture on bottom (#2), I changed a little my settings and the color looks a little bit darker than it is. 
So the right color is in between these 2..
And because I am not swatching this particular nailpolish, I don't mind showing the right color. 

Anyways, here I did 3 thin coats





El color base que use, lo cual es muy conveniente para este diseño, es "All I Want For Christmas (is opi)"
Es un rojo oscuro cremoso.
Si se preguntan porque mis fotos muestran 2 tonos diferentes es por la iluminacion.

La foto de arriba (#1) muestra como yo regularmente tomo mis fotos, lo cual hace que se muestre un poco mas claro de lo que es.

La foto de abajo (#2), cambie un poco los ajustes y el color se muestra un poco mas oscuro de lo que es.
Asi que el color correcto esta entre estos 2.
Y ya que yo no estoy revisando ningun esmalte aqui, no me importa mostrar el color correcto.

Como sea, este cubre con 3 capas ligeras.

On my accent nail... I used "As Gold As It Gets' by Essie.
I did one coat, sponged over the nail for extra flakies, and then did one more coat. 
The bell charm is from Daily Charme 

All the charms from the website have a curved back to fit the surface of the nail, which is great for my exaggerated curved nail xD.




En mi uña de acento... use "As Gold As It Gets" de Essie.

Mi adorno de campana es de Daily Charme 
Todos los adornos de esta pagina tienen su parte trasera curvada para ajustarse a la curva de la uña, lo cual es genial para mis uñas exageradamente curvas xD.

Here was my first idea for this mani, but the flakies don't work very well with the vinyl.. 
So I had to change it.
Yes, I have my nail fails too.



Esta era mi primera idea para esta manicure, pero esta escarcha no funciona muy bien con los vinilos. Asi que los cambie.
Si, yo tambien tengo mis fallas.
