Born Pretty Store Review 3 - Part 7 - French Tip Water Decals

The last item I have to show you from BornPrettyStore are these beutiful water decals with a floral print. Just look how pretty these are. 


El ultimo articulo que tengo para mostrarles de BornPrettyStore son estas hermosas calcomanias de agua con una estampa floral. Solo miren que bellas son. 

This sheet contains 14 french tips water decals, 3 bigs for the thumbs, 3 small for the pinkies and 8 with a middle size for index, middle and ring finger nails. 


Esta hoja contiene 14  calcomanias estilo francesita, 3 grandes para los pulgares, 3 pequeñas para los meñiques y 8 medianas para los indice, medio y anular. 

And because I only like 2 to 3 accents :P .. On my index and pinkie I used "Vanity Flare" by Sally Hansen. This is a creamy purple shade, although in the picture shows a hint of blue, but in person looks more purple than shown. Formula was really great, easy to apply, covers in 2 thin coats.. 
And I sealed my decals with "Super Shine" topcoat also by Sally Hansen. 


Y porque a mi me gusta 2 que 3 uñas de acento :P... En mis uñas indice y meñique use "Vanity Flare" de Sally Hansen. Este es un esmalte purpura cremoso, aunque en la foto parece que tiene un toque de azul,este es mas purpura en persona de lo que muestra. Su formula es muy buena, facil de aplicar y cubre en 2 capas ligeras. 
Y selle mis calcomanias con "Super Shine" topcoat tambien de Sally Hansen.

I decided to go with purple color to match the little flower on the middle nail, but I believe it would look as good with a dark green to match the leaves or a red for the main flowers, or even a nude as the base color of the decal. 


Decidi ir con el color purpura para combinar con la pequeña flor en la uña del medio, pero creo que tambien se veria bien con un tono verde oscuro para combinar con las hojas, o un rojo por las flores principales o incluso un tono nude como el color base de la calcomania. 

These decals are so easy to use, they come with instructions on the back of the sheet, but sadly my nails are too wide for them as you can see on my thumb there is just a little uncovered part, but not big deal :))

Estas calcomanias son muy faciles de usar, ya viene con instrucciones en la parte trasera de la hoja, pero tristemente mis uñas son muy anchas para esta, asi como pueden ver en el pulgar esa pequeña parte sin cubrir. pero para mi no es la gran cosa :))

Personal Opinion:
I would recomend this for long nails only. if we are going to trim part of the decal to fit the free edge of the nail, then the design will not be appreciated. So I let my nail grow a little more just for this decal. 
But what if you have round nails? No worries!!! There are also available for them, which were the first ones I saw... But since my nails are square I couldn't get them and I was so happy when I saw these new square decals that I did not doubt and got them to review. 


Mi Opinion Personal:
Yo recomiendo estas para uñas largas. Si fueramos a cortar parte de esta para que encaje en la uña correctamente, el diseño se perdera y no sera apreciado. Asi que deje que mis uñas crezcan un poco mas solo por esto. 
Pero que si tengo uñas redondas? Sin preocupaciones!!! Tambien hay disponible para ellas, las cuales fueron las primeras que vi, pero mis uñas son cuadradas asi que no pude escojerlas y luego cuando vi estas calcomanias nuevas no dude y las escoji para la reseña.

Born Pretty Store Review 3 - Part 5 - 3D Cubic Rhinestone

I always wanted to do an 'elaborated' accent nail, but never had the right studs or they did not match. 
And now I found the right ones to create this gorgeous mix and match studs. I AM OBSESSED. 


Siempre quize hacer una uña de acento muy 'elaborada', pero no tenia las piedritas correctas o estas no combinaban.
Y ahora encontre las correctas para crear este 'mix and match' de piedritas. ESTOY OBSESIONADA. 

But first the base color. 
I used this gorgeous vampy color "Lincoln Park After Dark" from OPI. 
It is a very very dark deep purple shade, almost look like black.  Formula really amazing, covers with 2 thin coats, easy to apply, self-leveling, so shiny and it is so pretty. I love dark colors. 


Pero primero el color base. 
Use este hermoso esmalte vampy "Lincoln Park After Dark" de OPI.
Es un profundo color purpura oscuro, casi parece negro. Su formula es realmente buena, cubre con 2 capas solamente, facil de aplicar, se nivela a la perfeccion, es tan brillante y es simplemente hermoso. Yo amo los colores oscuros. 

polishes used!

On my accen nail I first placed some flakes, this one is "Pearly Whites" by Sally Hansen. It has really big flakes with an iridescent effect, which is really pretty. This polish almost would work for a perfect "Shattered glass" nails. 
Its formula is too thick and takes too much time to dry, that's why I decided to place them one by one instead of just painting a coat of it. And applied my topcoat. 


En mi uña de acento primero coloque unas escarchas, este es "Pearly Whites" de Sally Hansen. Tiene unas escarchas muy grandes con un efecto iridescente, lo que es muy bello. Este esmalte quedaria perfecto para un "Shattered Glass" (vidrio quebrado). 
Su formula es muy gruesa y demora mucho para secar, es por eso que decidi colocarlas una a una en vez de pintar una capa de este. Y luego aplique mi topcoat. 

Then I places my little cubes, these look a little like crystal but are made of acrylic. They have a flat back for better adhesion. These can be a little heavy so I recommend to use a nail glue to stick them on the nail, this way they will last longer. 


Luego coloque los pequeños cubos, estos se ven un poco como cristal pero son hechos de acrilico. Tienen una parte plana para mejor adherencia. Estos pueden ser algo pesados asi que les recomiendo que usen pegamento de uña, asi duraran mas tiempo.

Because these cubes need a complement, I did not like them just alone, I personally think that they need something else, I used this ugly earing that I bought for this purpose only. Yes I bought them to make nail studs. 
i trimmed each square with this clipper. 
They cost me about 3 dollars. 


Porque estos cubitos necesitan un complemento, a mi no me gustaron ellos solos, personalmente creo que necesitaban algo mas, use este arete feo que compre por esta razon. Asi es, lo compre para las uñas. 
Corte cada cuadrito con este corta cuticulas.
Me costaron aproximadamente 3 dolares. 

But these strass are also sold by their own, and I have some, but I did not want to use them yet, because this one is prettier, (haha) it has an iridecent effect, like a boreal cristal and they need a very special occasion.
In fact I just did not want to cut them :P 
They cost between 3 to 4 dollars. 


Pero estos estras tambien se venden solos, y yo tengo algunos, pero no quize usarlos aun, porque estos son mas bonitos (jaja), tienen un efecto iridescente como un cristal boreal y necesitan una ocacion muy especial. 
En realidad yo no quize cortarlos :P
Estos me costaron entre 3 o 4 dolares.

I did this embellishment in aproximately 10 minutes, I spent more time taking pictures of this beauty. I couldn't be prouder of it. 
So pretty that I want to cry haha....
This is perfect for any special event, and I am definetly going to do it again. 


Hice este embellecimiento en 10 minutos aproximadamente, pero demore mas tiempo tomando fotos de esta belleza. No pude estar mas orgullosa. 
Es tan lindo que quiero llorar jaja...
Esto es perfecto para cualquier ocacion, y yo definitivamente voy a hacerlo otra vez.

Born Pretty Store Review 3 - Part 4 - Glitter Placement

More glitter nails yaaay... This is the second time I do glitter placement on an entire nail. But this time I'm using tiny glitter which makes it look a little complicated but in fact is not that hard. 

Born Pretty Store Review 3 - Part 3 - Loose glitter

Because I can't get enough of one of my favorite nail art, once again i bring you glitter gradient with loose glitter. 

Porque no puedo tener demasiado de uno de mis artes favoritos, una vez mas les traigo degrade escarchado con escarcha suelta. 

But first let's start with the base colors. 
On my index and pinky I used "Christmas Gone Plaid" by OPI. When I first got this polish I did not have any idea of what to do with it, I love dark polishes and I did not have any like this one. But I'm very happy I did because it matches perfectly to the loose glitter. Great coincidence right? 
Its formula is really amazing, it's a creamy deep green shade, very very smooth and easy to apply, covers with 2 thin coats and it is self-leveling what I LOVE in a polish.

Primero empezemos con el color base. 
En mi indice y menique use "Christmas Gone Plaid" de OPI. Cuando compre este esmalte al principio no sabia que hacer con el, amo los esmaltes oscuros y no tenia nada como este. Pero me alegra mucho haberlo hecho porque este combina perfectamente con esta escarcha. Que gran coincidencia verdad? 
Su formula es realmente buena, es un esmalte verde oscuro cremoso, muy muy suave y facil de aplicar, cubre con 2 capas ligeras y es autonivelante  lo que AMO en un esmalte. 

On my middle and ring nails I used "Rollin' In Cashmere"
It is a metallic gold shimmer polish, although that shimmer is very subtle and can be seen with the direct light. 
I did 3 thin coats, and as all metallic polishes I still can see the brush strokes. 


En mi una del medio y anular use "Rollin In Cashmere"
Es un esmalte dorado metalico brilloso, aunque ese brillo es algo sutil y se puede ver con luz directa.
Aqui tengo 3 capas ligeras, y como todos los esmaltes metalicos se ve la marca de la brocha. 

Now some glitter!
It comes in this little acrylic box as shown in the picture. Contains tiny hexa glitters and medium size hexa glitters in colors blue, green and a very light gold (almost like silver) in metallic shades. 

Ahora algo de escarcha!
Este viene en una pequeña cajita de acrilico como se ve en la foto. Contiene escarcha de tamaño muy pequeño y mediano en colores azul, verde y un dorado muy claro (casi parece plateado) en tonos metalicos. 

I went with a very easy glitter gradient, I used a fan brush to place the glitter over the nail. 
There are some pros and cons about using loose glitters.

PROS: 
They are easy to work with. 
I can control the amount of glitter I want on my nail. (without having a thick layer of clear polish when using regular glitter polish).
Easier to remove.
Is cheap.
They will last a very long time.  

CONS:
It can be a little messy. 
They will stick in brush of the topcoat.
(but this step may have solution by using an old or unused clear polish, and then use your favorite topcoat as I did).


Decidi hacer un degrade muy facil, use una brocha de avanico para ubicar la escarcha sobre la uña. 
Hay algunos pros y contra sobre usar esta escarcha suelta. 

PROS:
Es facil de trabajar con. 
Puedo controlar la cantidad de escarcha que quiero en mi uña. (sin tener una capa gruesa de esmalte transparente si estoy usando un esmalte escarchado regular).
Es mas facil de remover.
Es barato.
Rinde bastante y durara por mucho mas tiempo. 

CONTRAS:
Puede ser algo desordenado.
Se pueden pegar en la brocha del topcoat. 
(pero este paso puede tener solucion usando un esmalte transparente viejo o que no uses y luego usar tu topcoat favorito como yo hice).

They come in a little plastic bag with 10 units. 
 These have a flat back and are avilable in colors gold or silver. 

Estos vienen en una pequeña bolsa con 10 unidades.

I really like these, they look so delicate and femenine, but are a little heavy to stick with just topcoat. My suggestion is to use nail glue for these roses they would last longer.

En lo personal me gustan mucho estas decoraciones, se ven muy delicadas y femeninas, pero pueden ser un poco pesadas para pegarlos solo con topcoat. Mi recomendacion es usar pegamento para uña con estas rosas, asi duraran mas.

Born Pretty Store Review 3 - Part 1 - Pearl Studs

One more time I had the chance to review for Born Pretty Store. 
In this occasion I received 7 different nail decorations like stamping plate, nail decals and some loose glitter.
But first let's start with this cute pearls studs. 


Una vez mas tengo la oportunidad de revisar para Born Pretty Store.
En esta ocasion he recibido 7 decoraciones diferentes para uñas como un plato de estampar, calcomanias y escarcha suelta. 
Pero primero empezemos con estas lindas perlas. 

These are flat back pearl studs made of acrylic and metal. As seen in the picture comes in a plastic wheel with approximately 100 pcs.  And I confess these are kind of big for some nails, even for mine that are a bit long, but to compensate I just used 1 and complemented with some nail foil. 


Estos son perlas de espalda plana hechas de acrilico y rodeado con metal. Como se le puede ver viene en una rueda de plastico con aproximadamente 100 pcs. Y confieso que estas son un poco grandes para algunas uñas, incluso para las mias que estan algo largas, pero para compensar use solo 1 y lo complemente con 'nail foil'.

Shattered Glass Nails / Mosaic Nails!

I call this mani "The Shattered Queen" for no specific reason.. The first time I saw this technique was a year ago from PolishPals, and I still have no idea what took me so long to try it myself.
