Shattered Glass Nails / Mosaic Nails!

I call this mani "The Shattered Queen" for no specific reason.. The first time I saw this technique was a year ago from PolishPals, and I still have no idea what took me so long to try it myself. 





Yo le llamo "The Shattered Queen" por ninguna razon en especifico... La primera vez que vi esta tecnica fue hace un año atras de PolishPals, y hasta ahora no tengo la menor idea por que me tomo tanto tiempo intentarla yo misma. 

Let's start with the basic base color. This one is "Neptuno" by Vogue Fantastic, is a creamy navy blue shade. Its formula is amazingly smooth, easy to apply and covers with 2 coats only. 
I once tried this nailpolish before and said that the first coat was uneven, but I just realized that when I use a shiny base coat, makes it uneven, here I used a peel off base coat which means a 'matte' base and the formula spread so much better.
In conclusion, it works much better over a matte base or no base at all. If you still want a base coat there is no reason to worry because the color will smooth out with the second coat. 


Empezemos con el color base. Este es "Neptuno" de Vogue Fantastic, es un esmalte azul naval cremoso. Y su formula es extremadamente suave, muy facil de aplicar y cubre con 2 capas solamente. 
Una vez yo use este mismo esmalte y dije q su primera capa era irregular, pero me acabo de dar cuenta que cuando uso una base protectora brillosa, este hace la primera capa irregular. En este diseño, yo use una base "peel off" que tiene acabado 'mate' que lo hizo mucho mas facil de esparcir. 
En conclusion, estos esmaltes trabajan mucho mejor sobre una base protectora mate o sin base, pero si en caso tal usas una base no es razon de preocuparse porque el color simplemente se nivelara en la segunda capa. 

For the shattered glass I used these medium hexa glitter and cut them one by one with a clipper. It took me a while, but it worth it. 

Para el efecto del vidrio quebrado o mosaico use estas escarchas en forma de hexagono, y las corte una a una con un corta cuticulas. Me tomo algo de tiempo pero valio la pena.

I just started to place the glitters over the nail, not following any pattern just leaving some space in between each glitter. and sealed with a generous amount of topcoat. I did only one.
But i highly recommend 2 coats of topcoat for a better and a very smooth finish. 


Yo simplemente empeze a colocar las escacha cortadas por sobre toda la uña, no seguia ningun patron en particular, simplemete dejando un espacio entre cada una. Selle todo con una capa generosa de Topcoat. Solo le di una capa, pero en realidad recomiendo 2 capas de brillo para un mejor resultado.

Despues que tu color base este seco aplica una capa de topcoat y coloca tu adorno y deja secar, puede durar en la uña por 3 dias, pero con pegamento para uña puede durar mas tiempo.
